Beautiful Austin Elopement - Jennifer's Garden - Austin, Texas Wedding & Elopement Photographer

Amy and Matt decided to elope before Covid, but their elopement got postponed just the same like so many others. Their love story began at SXSW years ago, when they met in a back alley after a show…isn’t that the perfect Austin love story beginning? So they wanted to return to Austin for their elopement.

It was well worth the wait, and I am so honored to be their witness and photographer. They requested I photograph on film, so these photos are a mix of 35mm and medium format film photography. We all fell in love with Jennifer’s Garden, and I fell in love with them. These two, y’all. Honorary Austinites.

In Honor of World Breastfeeding Week and a F*ing Fabulous Woman - an In-Home Family Session on the Beach in Maryland

I’m not sure where to begin in talking about this session, so I’ll start at the beginning. I met Rachel a couple years ago, another photographer, at Yeah Field Trip, a creative workshop. While there, I took her photo and we began a friendship…one of those mostly online and screen-based long-distance friendships, but still, she has turned out to be one of my favorite people, all the while remaining an enigma of a human to me (she home schools her 5 children while running her own bad ass photography business. How? Is she Super Woman? Is she Amazing? Yes and Yes!).

So fast forward a couple years, and I visited Rachel at her home in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland to photograph her family (with my kids in tow). And because we both love film, I exclusively shot both medium-format and 35mm film for this session. I hope you can see the love and the beautiful mess of life that comes with a family of 5 kids (and maybe because I’m the oldest of 5 myself I have a special place in my heart for this magical family).

And P.S. Normalize breastfeeding already!

Mark & Burke Get Married at Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla - San Diego Wedding Photographer

Happy Anniversary Burke and Mark!

There’s nothing like photographing a family member on film…it made this experience so special to me. Burke is my cousin and I was so honored to be able to photograph his wedding. I’ve included some portraits of family members here because OF COURSE I had to!

All photographs below 120mm or 35mm film.
